Job Description

  • Are you passionate about quality care and the elderly?
  • Are you full of ideas on better ways of doing things?
  • Then the Peninsula Grange team needs you!
We’ve put a lot of thought into the way we would like the elderly to be cared for and have designed our facility with the genuine feeling of living at home. Home- style open plan kitchens, residents lounge with 24 hour access on every floor, a dementia space specifically designed around working with memories, smart TVs in every room, a dedicated hair and beauty salon and beautiful outdoor spaces for enjoying and exercising.

We are seeking passionate, qualified carers who live and breathe our model of care. You may work this way in your current role, or you may not have worked this way before at all, that’s because it’s a new way of working and moves away from the traditional aged care approach. Our carers forge relationships with their residents and are encourage to present new and innovative process improvements.

The Model of Care – Better Together®

Peninsula Grange is adopting a new model of care, Better Together®. The Better Together® beliefs are a set of principles to guide the way we work and how we put clients first. The principals are:

We connect – We are warm in our connection, we use people’s names and offer them a warm greeting. We aim to connect with each other, our customers and the local community.

We respect – We are honest, respect privacy, individuality, the right to make decisions and be independent. We aim to bring out the best in everyone by providing choice and opportunities for people to realise their potential.

We make it possible – We respond with a smile, listen carefully and take action. This is about creating memorable experiences by saying ‘yes’ and thinking of solutions to even the most improbable requests.

As well as being part of our organisation that fosters a diverse workplace, supports many charities and environmental initiatives, Australian Unity offers:

• Career progression and ongoing training and support
• Flexible work arrangements
• Community and parental leave
• Public holiday exchange
• Supplied uniform
• General insurance discounts
• Financial planning advice
