Job Description

Morley’s is a recently refurbished popular bayside venue seeking chef de partie & sous chef to join their dynamic kitchen team. This popular cafe, bar & bistro has a strong food focus; food style is accessible but interesting. Dishes are produced with high quality seasonal produce & creatively served with a twist. Our diners are loyal & regular who appreciate good quality food & service.

Morley’s has a casual and fun atmosphere, and is a local and family oriented brand with a loyal following. This venue is part of a group of three popular bayside venues, and we offer plenty of support to staff looking to further their career in hospitality.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Full qualification as chef
  • Be a passionate & creative chef
  • Calm under pressure
  • Enjoy working in a busy environment
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of food preparation & presentation
  • Supervise and run the kitchen, ordering and stock control
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong understanding of HACCP food safety standards
  • Experience in french/italian cuisine or modern Australian preferred but not essential

You will be a passionate and creative chef, up to date on current food trends and committed to utilising the best produce to produce outstanding food.

You will be well supported by the operational team and be involved in on going business development with the front of house managers and owner.
