Job Description

Situated on the Mornington Peninsula, this facility is part of a progressive group that believes that strong values are at the heart of everything they do.  The site currently provides care and accommodation to 40 residents but is in the process of a major expansion, which will transform it to functional and welcoming 60 bed facility. It is managed by a engaging and supportive FM/DON and a dedicated and hard working team of clinical and non-clinical staff.

The Position:

Working closely with a vibrant, enthusiastic and extremely supportive Director of Nursing the CCC will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing advanced clinical information, and coordinating care and services, to meet the complex care needs of residents.
  • Educate, support and evaluate staff performance in the provision of resident care.
  • Assist the FM with all aspects of Human Resource management
  • Undertaking resident assessments and preparation and reviews of care plans, particularly for residents with complex needs.
  • Together with the ACFI co-ordinator, oversee ACFI documentation and submission to the Department of Health and Aged Care
  • Conduct quality audits and surveys, as per the Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Participation in incident investigations and root cause analysis where required.
  • Participation in monthly staff meetings

Essential criteria:

  • Registered Nursing qualifications and registration with APHRA,
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a similar position in Aged Care
  • A thorough understanding of standard 2 in Aged Care
  • Excellent Leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to support and and work as 2IC to the FM
