Job Description

The Head of Student Programs is responsible to the Principal through the Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching and liaises closely with the Deputy Principals-Heads of Campus, the College Learning & TeachingCurriculum Co‑ordinators, the Academic Student Management Committees, House Co‑ordinators, Homeroom Teachers, Subject Teachers and relevant authorities regarding funding and programming for specific student needs.  The appointment to this position of leadership will be for an initial period of three years and, subject to a satisfactory review, the position may be offered for a further period.  The key responsibilities of the position are to:

  • Lead and manage staff within the Departments at all 3 campuses
  • Liaise with Learning & Teaching Leaders at the College and with system authorities, including making funding applications to relevant authorities
  • Assist with duties of the Learning & Teaching Leaders at the College
  • Develop Learning & Teaching initiatives for students with specific needs
  • Facilitate the Assessment and Reporting processes for the Department
  • Manage Department Resources and Budgets
  • Be responsible for the College Student Programs across Year 7 – 12
  • Facilitate Occupational Health & Safety Requirements
