This role is responsible for supporting and assisting with the implementation of initiatives relevant to the Council Plan and Operational plan for Social Planning and Community Development (SPCD).
Job tasks and responsibilities
The Social Planning & Community Development team is seeking an experienced Community Development Officer to organise and implement several community-led projects to advance the Shire’s Council Plan objectives including community infrastructure projects such as Men’s Sheds and Community Gardens.
You will lead and/or assist, as appropriate, the planning of community infrastructure projects and community development projects, including consultation with the community and other stakeholders throughout the life of the project.
