Contract Administrator – Construction

We require an experienced construction contract administrator that can also carry out our bookkeeping functions.

Must have proven track record in the construction industry. We are predominantly domestic builder also some commercial contract and as such experience with both domestic and commercial contracts would be considered favourably.

Must have extensive experience Xero accounting software and BuildExact management software.

Required functions would include:

Office management: Stationary / IT issues

Establish and manage construction budgets from awarded tenders.

Track and measure costs against established budgets.

Manage contract variations.

Be able to estimate works require for contract variations.

Package, issue and access trade packages for approval and then be able to issue orders.

Understand construction methodology and be able to interpret construction programs to forecast and project required trade letting and forecasting.

Must be relatively self-sufficient and able to resolve contractor / supplier payment disputes.

Understand business metrics and be able to prepare monthly reporting:

·         Project cash flows

·         Liabilities:

·         Aged creditors

·         BAS

·         Tax

·         Leave accruals

·         Invoicing and payments due/received.

·         Tell us when we are screwed and conversely when we should be buying new cars!
