The applicant must have experience in a commercial kitchen so a currently employed apprentice who would like to join a highly experienced kitchen would be welcome to apply. A cook or kitchen hand who knows how to work hard and remain clean and organized at all times is more than welcome to apply. You will need your own transport. Our working week is from Wednesday until Sunday during the day with Friday and Saturday nights a necessity. A full time position is available however casual to 20 hours would suffice for the right person. The restaurant is in a magnificent vineyard winery on the Mornington Peninsula in Moorooduc.
Wages will be negotiable above award based on experience and ability. Typical skills required include an eye for detail, basic knife handling, appreciation of a range of food ingredients, organization of work space, focus and attention at all times, a desire to learn. A sense of humour is a must. Clean personal presentation at all times as our kitchen is in full view of the dining room.
