Local Tourism Driver – Mornington Peninsula

We are looking for a part-time driver to shuttle our walkers between different trail heads and hotels on the Peninsula and deliver a briefing and answer questions at the start of their trips. Typically, our walkers will be on self-guided trips with 1-4 people or you may assist with one of our guided trips working alongside one of our walking leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

As a casual driver at Raw Travel, you will be responsible for driving a 12-seater van sometimes with a trailer. Your role will involve transporting our clients to various picturesque destinations across the stunning Mornington Peninsula. Our clients come from all over Australia to experience the wonderful diversity of local trails here.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Valid driver’s license
• Proficiency in driving a 12-seater van with a trailer
• In-depth knowledge of the Mornington Peninsula and its attractions
• Prior experience in tourism or hospitality industries is a plus
• Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated reliability, honesty, and responsibility

While not essential, the following qualifications and interests would be advantageous:

• Commercial Passenger Vehicle License
• Medium Rigid license
• Passion for hiking and walking

This role would particularly suit a retiree or person wanting occasional & flexible work and not full- time commitment as the work is seasonal (not during the Dec – Jan peak weeks and quiet during the Winter) and based on advance notice with bookings. Typically, you would be working 3-4 hours a day; dropping clients off in the morning at a trailhead and picking them up again later in the afternoon, taking them to and from their hotel. In the time in-between drop offs you are free to return home, do other things with your day.
