Independence Australia is a social enterprise that provides choices for people living with a disability or other personal need, supporting them to regain and retain their independence.

Our DSW’s are a positive, committed and enthusiastic team who support people with physical disabilities to live independently.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a disability support worker in the community or in home setting;
  • A certificate III or IV in Disability or similar (or be willing to undergo further training to improve your skills) ;
  • An ability to create supportive and professional working partnerships which encourages personal independence; and
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including working positively with others, problem solving and dealing with conflict.

We are currently looking for Female DSW’s to support clients with physical disabilities living independently along the Mornington Peninsula. Previous experience supporting individuals with a physical disability is essential and experience in bowel and catheter care will be highly regarded.
