The Continental Hotel, is now recruiting a General Manager to manage the daily operations of our Hotel in Cowes Phillip Island. This role would suit a hands on and energised General Manager to lead this young and dynamic team.

Located just 90 minutes from Melbourne The Continental Hotel in its prime location along with breathtaking views of Westernport bay. Creating the perfect work life environment for the correct candidate.

We are looking for a General Manager to lead the hotel team in this fantastic property. The successful applicant will have a strong background in Food and Beverage and regional property management.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Oversee the management of all hotel functions including Food & Beverage, Revenue Management, Rooms division, and Operations.
  • Deliver exceptional service and professionalism
  • Management of Financial budgets, reporting and cost control
  • Focus on recruiting, staff retention and leading and developing your team
  • Strong leadership qualities, with a hands-on management approach
  • Ability to work within set parameters for cost management, particularly wage control
  • Innovative, enthusiastic and willing to put forward new ideas for streamlining daily operations and increasing overall profitability.
  • Previous experience managing a busy hotel incorporating both accommodation and food & beverage.

About you:

  • Previous experience in Hospitality management as a General Manager in a similar regional property
  • Attention to detail and the proven ability to set strategic goals and problem resolution
  • Service and quality focus with the passion to deliver outstanding guest experiences
  • Driven to create a supportive culture to motivate and develop your team
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Previous experience in a high volume F&B outlet.
