We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurses to join our team.

The Bays Hospital in Mornington is offering positions in the 2018 Graduate Nurse Program which will support, guide and enable you to develop your professional and personal skills in our caring and community focused, not for profit organisation. We recognise that clinical support is critical to your transition and development.

Four supernumerary days are offered during the first week and includes a comprehensive 2 day orientation designed to prepare you for clinical work.  This also includes core clinical competencies such as basic life support, infection control and manual handling. You will then commence your first rotation with a reduced patient load to facilitate your entry to the profession of nursing.

PROGRAM:

  • 52 week program, 30 hours/week (4 shifts) commencing in February 2018
  • Ward rotations in general medical and surgical units including a 2 week rotation in High Dependency Unit
  • Optional speciality rotations may be offered in Theatre, Dialysis & Day Infusion Unit
  • 5 weeks annual leave which includes 1 week at Easter & 2 weeks at Christmas
  • Structured study days throughout the year
  • Regular tutorials, debrief sessions, feedback & appraisals.
