A new opportunity exists for a passionate, creative and driven Head Chef or “Up & Coming Head Chef”. You will work closely with the Venue Manager to achieve excellence! This is a brilliant opportunity will give the work/life balance desired within the hospitality industry. Working only three to four shifts in the off-peak season.
This role will suit a chef whose focus is quality vs quantity, a natural leader with strong financial acumen. Experience a la carte environments and ideally have exposure to contemporary Australia fine dining and functions.
*This is a full-time, salaried position.
As the Head Chef you will be responsible all aspects of BOH including rostering, ordering and team development. You will be a qualified Chef, who is motivated, hands on, and a passionate team player with proven longevity in your previous employment.
Your strong leadership and management skills will see you succeed in training and mentoring a team of culinary professionals, along with providing ongoing training and support where required. Your strong financial acumen will be an asset to you, with managing budgetary requirements (COGS & WAGES essential). Your knowledge of OH&S and Food Safety within a kitchen environment will assist you managing this kitchen environment. This is a hands on, autonomous role that requires a self-starter to hit the ground running!
