Job Description

Two Buoys is looking for a Head Chef to join our team.

We are an award-winning wine, cocktail and tapas, bar and restaurant situated seaside on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a well-established, iconic seaside venue seating approximately 140. With direct views over the bay, we are very busy over the summer season and have a steady loyal local customer base in the off seasons.

While tapas are predominantly our style of food, we are looking to expand our offer. The successful candidate is an experienced Head Chef with thorough understanding of tapas and a-la-carte menus, who can take our current menu to the next level with creative ideas and inventions! As you will also be managing a team, you must possess strong communication skills and a solid knowledge of cost of sales and labour management. 

This is an opportunity to establish yourself at an iconic venue, build your team and create a great work environment together with progressive, forward thinking owners. 

This is a full-time role which will include weekend and public holiday hours. Renumeration package for the right candidate will range between A$75,000 to A$85,000 – comprising a base of $75,000 plus bonuses dependent on cost of sales and labour percentage. Final salary will be negotiated depending on experience.
