Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our friendly
interdisciplinary team, providing home-based occupational therapy to people living at
home with a terminal illness.
This three day a week position involves working with issues associated with
occupational performance in view of end of life or terminal care which includes:

 Providing clinical leadership in the specialty area of palliative care occupational
therapy practice
 Assessment, care planning and intervention for the community palliative care
setting
 Support and client advocacy
 Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
 Autonomous management of caseload

To be successful you will need to have:
 Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (through
AHPRA).
 Advanced ability to assess occupational performance considering physical,
cognitive and psychosocial aspects of the person and their environment
 Proven track record in working with families, including culturally diverse
 Capacity to work with internal and external stakeholders
 Maturity to work both independently and within a team
