Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Head Housekeeper for our award winning property The Head Housekeeper will oversee and manage a team of Housekeeping Attendants / Team Leaders and Supervisors in their assigned areas, ensuring the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas. General Responsibilities Include:
  • Perform regular cleaning audits to ensure quality is upheld including but not limited to; balconies, corridors, housekeeping pantries and guest rooms
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and key stakeholders
  • Plan and prepare shifts for your team, including but not limited to: running sold room reports, verifying room's status, prioritizing room cleaning, and updating status of departing guest rooms.
  • Ensure team personal appearance is clean and professional
  • Ensure housekeeping vehicles are kept clean and tidy
  • Ensure cleaning standards are of a high standard
  • Ensure that OHS, Environmental and Maintenance hazards and incidents are reported to the manager on duty
  • Conduct monthly stocktakes and order supplies as required
  • Maintain confidentiality of property information as well as company assets
The ideal candidate must have:
  • Minimum of three years progressive experience in a Housekeeping environment within a resort
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to train, retain and develop your team
This is a salaried position that reports to the General Manager   ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPER We are currently seeking a dynamic Assistant Housekeeper for our award winning property The Assistant Housekeeper will support the Head Housekeeper in the overall management of the Housekeeping department. General Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist the Head Housekeeper with cleaning audits as required
  • Work alongside and support the housekeeping attendants and team leaders as required
  • Ensure the teams personal appearance is clean and professional
  • Ensure the teams receive adequate training
  • Report the need for replacement items to the Head Housekeeper
  • Run daily status reports as required
  • Assist and liaise with the management team and clients in the absence of the Head Housekeeper
  • Maintain confidentiality of property information as well as company assets
The ideal candidate must have:
  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a Housekeeping environment within a resort
  • Good knowledge of cleaning products, fabrics and overall Housekeeping processes
