Rimfire Resources is a leading, niche recruitment provider to the agribusiness sector with an impressive recruitment portfolio across Victoria. Rimfire leverages off our extensive experience within the industry to provide solutions to clients across all sectors of the agribusiness industry.

Our client, a leading horticultural producer who has grown from a family run operation to a leading fresh produce provider in Australia. This business continues to run as a family owned business, but with exciting growth projections and future projects that will double their operation within the next 5 years. Due to this exciting plans to grow their produce and output, they have a newly created role within their Finance team.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, they are seeking a candidate to join their close knit team that is looking for a role in a business that will continue to grow with your career. You will be assisting with ensuring greater financial reporting is possible as the business assess the success of their projects. You will provide support to their remote sites taking advantage of their precision agricultural tools, whilst changing the internal business structure to a more corporate business model. This role will provide much greater structured budgeting, forecasting and planning for the operations of the business and provide board reports regularly.

Additional duties include:

  • Journal responsibilities
  • Operational reports for management
  • General Ledger integrity
  • Masterfile maintenance using Attache and FreshTrack

The successful candidate will be looking for a long term role with a business going through an exciting phase. You will be tertiary education and studying towards or have completed your CA/CPA qualifications. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external and have strong/advanced Microsoft Excel skills. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for your work. An affinity or understanding of the agricultural industry would be highly beneficial.
