The Curator will be responsible for managing the museum collection at Churchill Island including maintaining museum register and catalogue for museum objects, oversee and support internship projects, support heritage volunteers, implement cleaning schedule, annual stocktake processes, and management of donations.

To be successful in this position you will need to address the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of management  processes for museum collections including use of Victorian Collections database or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining a register for museum objects;
  • Knowledge of maintenance, cleaning and conservation objectives for managing a museum collection; and
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of staff and stakeholders in heritage and/or museum industry.
