Job Description

Based on the Mornington Peninsula, this rapidly growing business is seeking a bright and experienced Finance professional to join the team on a permanent part-time basis (3 days per week). Reporting into the Head of Finance we seek a confident, capable individual who is able to self-manage day-to-day.

The role holds responsibility for administering full Accounts Payable and Payroll function and will include inventory accounting on an intermittent basis along with some administration tasks – you will use your knowledge gained within a similar role in effectively managing daily transactional accounting tasks whilst working to specific time frames and deadlines.
Duties to include:

  • Full bookkeeping and support services including entering sales invoices, purchases, remittances
  • Managing full accounts payable function
  • End-to-end payroll processing
  • Complete monthly stocktake and ensure correct cut off procedures
  • Compliance – PAYG/ BAS reporting, Payroll tax, superannuation, workcover, WET diesel rebat, bulk wine stock and other
  • Fixed asset register maintenance

The successful person will possess:

  • CA or CPA part qualified or studying towards
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar, autonomous role
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders
  • Process oriented with a keen eye for details
  • A lateral thinker who can work with limited supervision
