Pharmacy Background:  Mt Eliza Discount Drug Store Pharmacy has recently relocated to a brand new, larger premises, adopted a new banner and is rapidly growing.  We offer a wide range of pharmacy products, services and health solutions at a great price.  We offer friendly service and provide our team of staff with opportunities to further their retail pharmacy career.

About the role:  There is a Full Time position on offer (approximately 30 hours a week including some weekend hours on a flexible roster).

We are seeking an experienced Qualified Retail Pharmacy Assistant who is happy to work a couple days a week as a Dispensary Technician also.  Dispensary Technician training can be provided if not qualified.

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist customers with their health needs
  • Assist the pharmacist team in the dispensary when required
  • Provide exemplary customer service
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Order stock, manage stock, unpack stock, receive orders and stock shelves
  • Keep store presentable and merchandised according to planograms provided
  • Assist the retail manager and other staff members
  • Comply with Discount Drug Stores policies and procedures
  • Partake in ongoing training and store promotional events

Skills and Experience required:

The successful candidate needs to:

  • Possess a Certificate II or Certificate III in Pharmacy Retail Operations
  • Have completed S2/S3 training
  • Have prior experience in community pharmacy
  • Have widespread product knowledge of general medicines, S2 & S3 medicines, vitamins and general health products
  • Have a can do personality and be enthusiastic and bright
  • Be reliable, self-motivated and have initiative to take on and complete tasks as required
  • Be an effective communicator and a team player
  • Have good time management  and computer skills
  • Be prepared to work some weekend shifts
  • Be committed to undertake training when provided
  • Have a current drivers licence and commit to weekly deliveries of medications (remuneration will be provided of course)
  • Drive the pharmacy sales to achieve set targets and KPIs
  • Be well-presented at all times
