The Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Planning Services Team is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Planning Support Coordinator.
This position is responsible for leading and developing the Planning Support Team to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Planning Services Team.
You will lead, supervise and manage the operations of the Planning Support team by developing individual team members to contribute positively to achieving the Planning Service Unit’s goals and objectives.
You will develop and coordinate training programs for both individuals and the team to continuously build on skills and knowledge in a technical environment.
Through team building, motivation and identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and professional development, you will develop a strong culture and high functioning team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and supervising a team within an office environment.
High level verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work and participate in a team environment and the ability to prioritise numerous tasks within limited timeframes are essential to the position.
You will also have the ability to work in a digitised and electronic processing environment.
A working knowledge of office procedures and experience in a Local Government and/or Planning environment would be advantageous.
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Police Records Check is required prior to commencing employment with the Shire.
