A great opportunity exists to join the Padua College Wellbeing Team as a Psychologist/Student Counsellor commencing immediately or as soon as can be negotiated. This is an ongoing position that will be full time for the remainder of the 2017 school year with the time fraction to be negotiated from the commencement of 2018.
Padua College is a large regional Catholic Secondary School on the Mornington Peninsula with 2400 students across 3 campuses. We pride ourselves on providing excellent pastoral care and support to all students and their families.
The successful applicant will be a highly skilled practitioner whose interpersonal skills will enable them to work closely with Pastoral Care leaders and House Coordinators to support and enhance students’ wellbeing and further promote their academic success.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Essential criteria for the successful applicant include:
· Social work or psychology qualifications are essential as is general registration with the appropriate professional association; e.g. AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency);
· Significant experience counselling young people and their families who present with a broad range of issues;
· Diverse professional experience and an ability to work within a broad service system, e.g. school setting.
