Long established building supply group with esteemed local profile looking to "structure up" in the face of growing competition. Your experience could be from DIY, building supply, discount department stores or even supermarkets but you must have strong operational credentials that deliver better bottom line outcomes with an acute customer focus. Previous multi-site or area management experience will be well regarded but is not essential. If you're a senior manager ready to take the next step, then we should be talking too. As the Retail Operations Manager you will provide leadership and instil confidence working hand-in-glove with the CEO to deliver strategic objectives and a better bottom line. We're really keen to make best use of your operational excellence and team leadership ability. Preferably, these skills will come from a hardware or hardgoods background but it's not necessarily a deal breaker. Established operational experience from any big format / large team retail environment could fit the bill. Here are some "must haves"
  • Commercial insight and business acumen that can be substantiated
  • Team leadership of 40-50 team members, or more
  • A history of empowering and motivating your team in a way that gets results
  • Willingly embrace, manage and drive change in a complex retail environment
  • A passion to exceed customer expectations
  • Attention to detail with the admin skills to run a small country
  • Always alert to drive a better way, going forward
