A rare opportunity has arisen, following the planned retirement of the Senior Secretary who has enjoyed a long tenure. Due to the need for additional coordination and management of practice staff and operations, there now exists a Senior Medical Secretary position. This role forms part of a cohort of admin staff and will provide high level support to the practice, with direct patient contact including:
- management of reception duties
- diary management
- maintenance of patient records
- liaising with hospital staff and practitioners involved with patient care, care coordination with appropriate follow up appointments
- respond and comply to requests for information and explain treatment plans
- manage theatre lists and notes relating to the Urology rooms
- general office management and admin duties as necessary
The successful applicant will be experienced within medical administration and have intermediate – advanced Genie and Microsoft Office skills. Comprehensive medical terminology and the ability to work efficiently under pressure and within a high functioning team is critical. You will naturally take ownership of your role and enjoy responsibility and accountability to your specialist as well as colleagues and management.
