This is a newly created role which will focus on improving our patients experience and journey.
It incorporates pre-admission, direct admission, emphasizing a rapid streamlined approach to all patient admissions and follow up post discharge. This role will work to have a cohesive plan around outpatient review; including returns for dressing changes, IDC management, etc.
This position will also be responsible for the review of our casual nurse bank governance with an aim to offer more services to engage and retain our casual nurses. This may include a structured education program and regular catch up communication meetings.
Reporting directly to the DON, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage and consult with multiple stakeholders, to manage change and contribute at a strategic level and also be responsible for supervising the Pre-Admission Clinic nurses.
This position may also require the incumbent to cover shifts in the organisation’s nursing units, should staffing resources require it.

This position is being offered as permanent and full-time (76 hours per fortnight).
The hours of work will be predominantly 7am – 3pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility may be required at times, to ensure the organisations needs are met.
