Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Risk professional to join a collaborative and nimble team based in Mornington. Our client is a government organisation and in a growth phase. This is an exciting time to come on board and help shape it’s future success. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal you will be responsible for coordinating, developing and driving risk management initiatives, strategies and practices across the organisation. This role involves partnering with stakeholders at senior levels and managing a small risk team. A proven track record in a risk function and preferably some management / mentoring experience is advantageous. Some experience in either insurance or claims management is also highly desirable.

Other responsibilities will include :-

  • Reviewing policies and strategies on risk management
  • Coordinating risk management activities
  • Managing risk frameworks
  • Driving good risk management practice and change initiatives
  • Team development
  • Attending committees and presenting at committees

This is a client facing role that requires a confidant approach and an engaging personality.
