Since 1948, Scope Vic (Ltd) (formerly known as the Spastic Society of Victoria) has provided a range of services to children and adults with a disability. Today Scope Vic provides services to over 6,000 people with a disability. Services across 99 service locations include accommodation, lifestyle options and individual support, respite, therapy, individual support package facilitation, public education, community inclusion and Scope Business Enterprise.

Scope has a respite service located in Cowes and we are seeking a highly motivated Service Coordinator to support the service in assisting the people we support to achieve their chosen goals through being active in their communities. The respite service provides support at any time or day and provides assistance to the people we support within their home, work, during planned activities and even supports those holidaying in the area.

The Coordinator of this service will:

  • lead and manage a skilled team to meet the growing demand for Scope support
  • build and develop a service that meets the needs of the people we support
  • assist in the delivery of our mission and quality standards
  • develop and monitor the operational budget for the service
  • manage the payment of invoices and collection of Service Delivery Records for processing
  • network, liaise and meet with community groups and services, government bodies, other providers, schools, and families.

This part time position offers flexibility and may also include direct support hours. This position will initially be located in Cowes however with the expansion of the business there may be room for expansion within the role to other services and locations (within a reasonable distance to Cowes). The successful candidate will have relevant experience and qualifications in disability, human resources or business operations.

Successful applicants will be required to hold a satisfactory Police Check issued within the last twelve months for disability employment, a current Working with Children Checks and a name check against the Disability Worker Exclusion List.
