Are you a champion for children and do you have effective communication skills to build supporting relationships which encourage families to participate in the Supported Playgroup programs?
Job tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the delivery of the Supported Playgroup program across the municipality where there is an evidence based level of vulnerability incorporating the smalltalk program and the delivery of in-home support for families
You will be required to facilitate five supported playgroups per week across the Shire in identified locations and you will be able to demonstrate your understanding of group processes which will ensure effective facilitation.
Skills and experience
You have the ability to create envirnoments that are safe, enagaging and developmental appropriate for childern with a focus on fun and enjoyment. You have an ability to engage with and establish trust with families to encourage and maintain participation in the program.
You have a strong understanding of the causes of economic and socio cultural disadvantage and its impact on families and children.
