Job Description

Advance is a non-profit, community-based, registered training organisation that has been providing training and employment support services across the Mornington Peninsula since 1980. Our prime focus is to encourage and support engagement in education and learning by providing opportunities to enhance current skills, learn new skills and improve career prospects for the most disadvantaged members of our local community. We have sites in Rosebud, Hastings and Mornington.

Advance offers a range of nationally recognised qualifications including Horticulture, Community Services, Business, Aged Care, Foundation Skills, Hospitality and short courses providing pathways to employment and/or further study.

Advance also provides career development services and traineeship/apprenticeship training.

Advance is contracted by the Higher Education & Skills Group (HESG) to provide Government Funded Training under the Skills First program.

Advance is seeking a qualified trainer to deliver Certificate III in Landscape Construction via workplace based delivery under apprenticeship training.

The position is available for an immediate start. Initially the position is on a part time basis, but has potential to be full time.

Candidates for the position must hold:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • a qualification in Landscape Construction;
  • current drivers licence;
  • a clear and current Working with Children Check & Police Check.

Recent industry experience is essential, and experience delivering workplace based apprenticeships is preferred, but not mandatory.
