Individuals best suited to this position will have grapevine pruning experience, with a basic understanding of grapevine physiology,
enabling best practice outcomes to be employed.
Work alongside vineyard staff, have a team
oriented focus, and the ability to modify pruning method to achieve a defined target.
Ensure implementation of and adherence to all
safety policies and guidelines.Be punctual and work outdoors throughout
inclement weather conditions.
Be open to learn and take on instruction
within a supervised work environment.
Ensure equipment is operated and maintained
in peak efficiency.
Report to Viticulturist/Assistant
Must have relevant pruning experience in a vineyard.
To be interested in vineyard and outdoor
work, and have a desire to learn.
Demonstrate a good understanding of vine
physiology, and be able to implement/modify pruning methods to achieve the
highest quality based outcome.Previous experience using electric hand held
secateurs would be preferred (not essential).
